Mountain Bike Bash Guard

Mountain Bike Bash Guard????

I want to get a bash guard on my Cannondale F7, however there is already a 3rd sprocket, so could i put a bash guard over it or could i some how remove it???

You’ll need to remove the outer chainring and get some longer chainring bolts….then you can put on whatever bashguard you want to. Make sure you buy one that’s the right size for your chainring. You’ll also need to adjust the positioning, cable tension, and high limit screw on your derailleur to compensate for the change.

Since you’ll be limited to the middle ring, you may want to step up to a slightly larger one. I’m riding a 36t middle with a Race Face aluminum bash right now….super combo. I’d recommend you stay away from the poly guards and go with metal. I’ve seen lots of broken poly’s.

Hope this helps. :o )
