Mountain Bikes For Sale

I wish to list a mountain bike for sale but useless when it comes to bikes ?

I need to know the frame size but do not know so how would I measure and from where to where?

Also need the wheel size but again unsure from where to where to measure?

Finally the gears are Shimano but I do not even remember how many and what type of system- is there any easy way to find out?

There is no standard for how frame size is measured. One common means of sizing the frame is to measure from the center of the bottom bracket (spindle the cranks are attached to) to the center of the intersection of the top tube and seat tube.

Even more helpful is to provide the standover height of the bike. The best way to measure standover height is to step over the bike and stand with your feet flat on the ground and your back against the nose of the seat. Measure from the floor to the top of the top tube at the front of your body.

Wheels on most mountain bikes are 27 x something. Look for a designation on the sidewall of the tires stating 27 x whatever. This is the size of the wheel.
